Richard and Amanda both have extensive grant writing experience (we think its about 30 years). Our experience encompasses both private foundation, state and federal government grants. In fact, grant writing is our favorite things to do! We subscribe to the most comprehensive grant search engines to help our clients identify opportunities that meet their needs. We're also a small shop that doesn't outsource our work, and when you work with us you get two experts for the price of one!
In addition to grant writing, TNSG offers strategic planning facilitation.
The strategic planning process itself is very valuable. Our approach to strategic planning is to engage the board, staff, and appropriate stakeholders in a comprehensive, interactive discovery process guided by the organizations vision and values. This is an in-depth process rooted in the principles of Appreciative Inquiry (AI). Click below to learn more about our process and our
experience in this area.
Richard and Amanda are seasoned board members, and as former executive directors, truly understand the importance of a healthy governing board. We are passionate about supporting boards and offer group trainings and consulting support for nonprofit leaders including board members.
We believe that board members with proper training, onboarding, and clear expectations are an asset to the organization. TNSG can help transform your board into an effective and supportive team!
We are all connected in some way by our passion for helping people and serving our Colorado communities! The Nonprofit Strategy Group facilitates two FREE peer groups to support nonprofit leaders. Regardless of the population you serve (whether it be humans, animals, or forests) it's a challenging role and you don't have to do it alone!
Each group is comprised of up to 15 nonprofit leaders and meets via Zoom. Sessions are structured, but allow for flexibility depending on the needs of the group. We offer support, tools and resources, space for problem-solving and open discussion. Periodically we bring in a guest speaker with expertise in a relevant discipline to help further our knowledge.
Groups are by invitation-only and open to CEOs/Executive Directors/Board Leaders of nonprofit organizations.
The Denver-Metro Leader's Circle meets on the third Thursday of the month from 11-12:30 p.m. These members are based in the metro-area and may go back to in-person meetings in the future.
Our Colorado Leader's Circle meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 11:00-12:30 p.m. These members represent nonprofits throughout the state and all meetings are by Zoom.
