You may be wondering why we focus on board governance. There are several reasons!:

• The board of director role is critical to the success of the organization. The board is responsible for maintaining ethical standards, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and guiding an organization toward fulfillment of its mission. 

• Effective governance is vital not only for the organization's well-being, but also for developing the trust and confidence of its stakeholders.

• The board usually consists of volunteers who are passionate about the mission but don't necessarily know the ins and outs of nonprofit governance. Providing them with training helps them to be effective in their role that typically lacks formal training, which in our opinion is such a missed opportunity.

• There are very few FREE learning opportunities for board members.

• We are invested in exploring alternatives to the traditional board governance model that better serve the nonprofit sector and make serving on a board of directors more effective and enjoyable!
