Training and Support

Support for Nonprofit Leaders

We offer support in the form of facilitated peer support, training, and coaching for nonprofit executive directors and board members. Our ongoing monthly Leader’s Circle meeting is for executive directors and the Board Leadership Accelerator is designed specifically for board chairs or vice chairs who seek clarity on their role as board leaders.

Leader’s Circle

The Colorado Leader’s Circle is a free monthly gathering designed for nonprofit Executive Directors and CEOs. Established in 2016, this group of 20 dedicated leaders comes together virtually each month to exchange resources, share insights, and provide mutual support in a trusted and collaborative environment.

Leader’s Circle meets the third Tuesday of the month from 11-12 p.m. via Zoom. Click the button below to learn more!

Board Leadership Accelerator

The Board Leadership Accelerator offers a dynamic and supportive forum for current and prospective Board Chairs (and/or Board Presidents) to enhance their leadership capabilities, gain deeper insights into their vital roles as board leaders, and enhance the overall impact of the boards they lead.

This is a limited cohort opportunity from March through May [with optional support sessions in June and July]. Meetings are tentatively scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 12-1 p.m.

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are rapidly growing in philanthropy, providing nonprofits with opportunities to diversify funding and connect with dedicated donors. However, many organizations face challenges in effectively engaging with DAF donors, and concerns persist about transparency and donor intent.

We’ve invited Kevin Jones and Marisa Swynstun from Bernstein Private Wealth to provide an overview of DAFs, including how they work, their growing role in charitable giving, and strategies for maximizing structured giving. Topics will include:

  • The basics of donor-advised funds and their impact on nonprofit fundraising

  • Practical tips for identifying and cultivating relationships with DAF donors

  • Not losing the forest through the trees with the fundraising landscape

  • Addressing concerns of wealth preservation versus philanthropy, along with gaps in regulations and transparency

Join us to explore actionable insights and best practices for navigating donor-advised funds, empowering your nonprofit to access this vital funding source while strengthening donor relationships and advancing your mission.
