8 Reasons We Are Grateful for You
As the year draws to a close we are reflecting on the individuals and organizations who we’ve engaged in 2022. Every time we meet another nonprofit leader we can’t help but notice a number of key qualities, traits, and beliefs shared by most if not all nonprofit leaders. These qualities are why we are so grateful (and why we remind you to take care of yourselves!).
Reasons We Are Grateful for YOU!
Nonprofit leaders are compassionate and empathetic
Nonprofit leaders are dedicated, tenacious, and selfless
Nonprofit leaders prioritize their cause before themselves (not encouraging this behavior, but we get it)
Nonprofit leaders inspire others to have hope
Nonprofit leaders are the voice of the community and advocate for and with those who benefit from some support.
Nonprofit leaders are brave and willing to take chances
Nonprofit leaders are adaptable, resilient, and agile
Nonprofit leaders are humble
These are the reasons nonprofit organizations are successful - they are the reasons our community’s most vulnerable have services to meet their needs.
There are over 20,000 Colorado nonprofits that generate an economic impact of $40 million annually, employing more than 330,000 workers. More importantly, our nonprofits feed, heal, shelter, educate, inspire, enlighten, and nurture people of every age, gender, race, and socioeconomic status.
Frequently, nonprofit leaders are the voice of the people they serve. Thanks to the combination of strong community relationships and intimate local knowledge, leaders often understand better than anyone else their communities’ needs and the best ways to meet them. Nonprofit leaders catalyze growth and opportunity in their community and we depend on them. For all of these reasons we are eternally grateful for our colleagues. Thank you!
